Entry #2 Why

The Greek story of Icarus is pretty well known. You know, the one about the boy who flies too close to the sun so his fake wings melt and he dies? Well I found a metaphor comparing that to school and I have to say, I've never related more to anything in my life.

It said,  "Do you ever feel like you're pulling an academic Icarus flying too close to your deadlines on wings of deeply flawed time management?" Yes. Yes I do. Constantly. I'm feeling it right now actually, and it's awful. But it's not just me, I've found that it's a pretty common feeling that brings us all together.

Every time it's the same thing. There's a huge pile of responsibilities that need to be taken care of and you know that if you don't do it, you'll regret it. But are you going to let that stop you? Nah. You'll keep waiting until the anxiety becomes almost too much to bear and then scold yourself for putting it off as you work desperately to do what you should've done a week ago.

So yeah, I've got a million things I have to do right now. Am I going to do them? Probably not until the last minute. But honestly,

So I'll deal with it later.

TL;DR I need to get my life together and stop procrastinating

  1. Lucien--Your blog is coming along nicely. Looks good. Reads well. You have room to dig a bit deeper into significance to say more.
